Editorial
Contamination and scarcity are two important issues related to water upon which survival of humankind depends. The paper presented in this bulletin elucidates the data and the measurement of the beliefs about water in two different locations in West Bengal which are closely related to the health and wellbeing of the people in the study area as well as outside. The bulletin includes the summary of the workshop on ISBED held at IIPS in Mumbai and highlights the linkage between iodine deficiency and human health. It presents the prevalence of goitre and any thyroid disorder in different States of India. |
