Editorial

This issue  provides the summary and recommendations of a seminar on Tribal Demography, Health and Development organized by IIPS at Raipur in Chhattisgarh. As most of tribal population of the country lives in hilly and forested areas of the country, the outcome of the seminar may be of interest to some of our readers. Also the bulletin presents two maps on the level of urbanization state wise for India and district wise for Maharashtra to show the nature of regional disparity existing in the country in the levels of development. We also inform through this bulletin some of the forthcoming seminars and workshops being organized abroad.
