Sex Ratio: Number of females per 1000 males.

Literacy rate: Percentage of literates to the total population age 7 years and above

 

Note: Registrar General, Census Operation, during 2001 census identifies slums as: Slum areas include (i) All areas notified as 'slum' by State/Local Government and UT Administration under any Act, (ii) All areas recognized as 'slum' by State/Local Government and UT Administration which have not been formally notified as slum under any Act; (iii) A compact area of at least 300 population or about 60-70 household of policy built congested tenements, in unhygienic environment usually with inadequate infrastructure and lacking in proper sanitary and drinking water facilities. On the basis of above criteria the slum blocks have been formed.
